Hi There

Im very new to this site so please bear with me. My cousin lost her baby yesterday morning as a result i would say was negligence from the hospital. She went in on sunday nite with what she tought was labour pain and was told that it was only pains due to Constipation. by the next morning she was in even more pain and went back to the hospital. when she got tere her waters broke and went into active labour. there was not enough time to get her into the ward as the baby came out while going there and fell on the floor. the baby died due to brain damage as a result of the fall. I haven't spoken to her yet as they gave her sleeping pills to sedated her. but please how do i help her.

That is appalling negligence on the hospitals part if you ask me! I can't possibly begin to imagine how your friend must feel.

All I can advise is that you just be there for her. Don't try and "say the right thing" but instead ask her what she needs, and give her the freedom to say whatever is on her mind and be free to cry as much as she wants. There is no advice you can give her to fix this.
