Panicked all the time Empty
PostSubject: Panicked all the time   Panicked all the time EmptyThu Aug 13, 2009 10:57 am

My baby boy is eighteen months old now and I was diagnozed with PND when he was 4 mnths old .My mom died suddenly while I was pregnant ( at 20 weeks ) and this was considered a contributional factor. I am on a tranquilizer ( Alzam ) 1 gr a day. I still am in a constant state of panic that my child will be harmed and even that he will die when I 'm not with him. His father is VERY laid back and doesn't see danger where I see it. He says I'm paranoid and ignores all requests to make my boy more safe. Is it me still suffering from PND at this late stage? Any suggstions or anyone feeling the same?

Hi sanet, without knowing the circumstances i couldn't say if your anxiety is rational but in my opinion you shouldn't be feeling panicked all the time.Is this a new onset of anxiety or has it been constant.I personally had a relapse while still on medication and i just went back to the doctors and he upped my meds .If its been constant then maybe you should get the situation assessed again. Either way it's not normal to feel panicked all the time. After having my medication upped i feel normal again, i do still stress a bit when leaving my children with other people but not to the extent that stops me from doing it, i think it's normal maternal instinct to want to check on them. I hope this has helped. Amy.
