Hi There

I'm a new mommy my baby is 2 weeks old. I'm sure I have PND, I show some of the symptoms but I dont know if I could tell somebody about it. I would look like a bad mother. My boyfriend works during the day so at night he needs his rest so I cant really ask him to help me with the baby at night, I cant ask my mom she is to far away from me.... my mother in law to be...well she keeps on looking over my shoulder to see what I'm doing wrong.
Should I go see a doctor? Let him prescribe me some anti-depressants?

Thank you for the website.

Hi Nikki
I am glad you found the website helpful. Have you done the Mills Checklist questionaire?
It might be a good idea to complete it and them let us know how you scored.
We can then decide what would be the next step.
Alternatively you can contact our helpline on 0828820072 and speak to one of our councellors for further advice.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Debbie

How are you doing? Have you seen a doctor? Please dont be afraid. When I went to my doctor she prescribed very light anxiety medication. This helps a lot. And when I spoke to her she also suffered from it and we had a good old chat about it. Dont be afraid to confide in your doctor or boyfriend. No one will know how to help you, unless you tell them how you feel. I am still recovering, but have a shoulder if you need to talk, cry or laugh.......
